Kitchenware

There is nothing wrong with cheap plates.
From left: Anthropologie, Donna Wilson, Anthropologie, Ikea
So I've started to stock our kitchen with sets of dinner plates, bowls, tumblers - and realised that you don't actually have to spend a fortune. Marks and Spencer now do a value range - classic white bowls are only £2.50 each -  and you get the M&S quality that you expect.
For our kitchen, I went for classic white and grey....and went for 'character' in my side plates.
Andante pasta bowls, £2.50 each, Marks & Spencer

Breakfast bowls, £10 each, Brissi. Plates, now only 80p each, Ikea

Ania tumblers, £18 for 4, LSA International

Tumblers, £4.99 for 6, Ikea

  1. I've just found your blog via our mutual friend Sam Norman (she was telling me I'd love it), and you are most defintiely a woman after my own heart. Like you, I find ways to afford the Mulberry bags and Chanel makeup I love, without going into debt or having a huge salary to fall back on.

Going to go home tonight and binge read your whole archives, and will be back for more!

    1. This is the biggest compliment EVER! I love your blog so much....been meaning to do one for a long time and really enjoying it. Thanks so much, any ideas would be gratefully received. I think it's very hard getting the balance right between 'cheap' and frugal! So glad you're a fan!

  2. Loving the 'character' in your side plates mixed with the classic white and grey. I also have my eye on those white dot tumblers now!
