My World Part 3: Bedroom

This room probably has the biggest 'To Do' list out of my whole flat....my dream for my bedroom is, essentially, 'The White Company' calm (on a budget).

I think the key to decorating on a budget is to invest in good paint in classic, neutral colours that don't date. Farrow & Ball is a bit more expensive than other paints (roughly £30 a tin), but you need less coats and the colours are so chic it doesn't matter if you can't afford furniture for a while!

'Pavilion Gray' paint, Farrow & Ball

'Aspen' bed, £299, John Lewis, Cushion, Lisa Stickley for Debenhams

Pax Fardal 2-door wardrobe, £199, Ikea
A few of my friends have these wardrobes from Ikea, they are such great value, very classic and suit any style house. I think the key to making yours stand out is not to buy matching Ikea handles.....my sister sells these crystal knobs, which I have used to spruce up many a cupboard, drawer or wardrobe - you will see them in my bathroom too!

Clock, £4.29, Ikea
Throw, Ikea

I have been totally inspired by Joanna Berryman's house, featured in this month's Red magazine. I assisted on a shoot here last summer and loved everything! I think this dressing table is what is missing from my room:

I've seen this version at Graham and Green:
£250, Graham & Green

We'd like this print for above the bed, too:

 On my wishlist:

Clarence doughnut pendant light, £250, Heal's

Malone drawers, £249, Dwell

Limited edition print, £139 framed, Woop Studios
