I know it's still the same money, but there is something great about collecting all your coins...
My parents have a shop, and always need change, so they actually welcome my envelopes full of coppers. Once a week, we empty everything smaller than 20p from our wallets into a tin. Then every few months, we change up and treat ourselves with the note to a takeaway/food/bottles of beer. Try it, you can take it into a bank to change, and it's so satisfying.
What's really satisfying is taking it too those machines in supermarkets and pouring it in! We use ours for extra holiday spending money xx
ReplyDeleteLove this. I started doing it when I was kid, and am still doing it 20+ years late.It is amazing how it can add up. Sometimes if I can't get to the bank I use the Coinstar machines in Asda which then give me the equivalent in vouchers (minus a small fee for the transaction if I remember correctly)
