So we all know the tube is less than perfect...but you don't have to take it lying down. Did you know that if you are delayed more than 15 minutes on the tube (and not pre-warned), you can claim a refund for your oystercard? They just don't publicise it...
It takes less than two minutes and TFL send you a refund in the form of a voucher via the post. Click here:

National rail also offers refunds but it depends on each carrier. I have in many cases, been given a refund for the entire cost of my ticket - make sure you keep your ticket as you need to send it off.

Good tip! I need to remember to complain more (in general as well as on transport!) and remember we shouldn't have to just accept shoddy service. People pay through the nose for transport, they should deliver their end of the bargain. Yeh!
