People That Inspire Me...

Lorna, 29, is a Production and Development Co-ordinator at a major Children's TV Production company and Ed, 31, is a Sales Director at a Medical Publishing company. They've been married for just over 2 years and they kindly let me inside their house they bought last year in Blackheath...

The kitchen is painted with Farrow & Ball's 'Cornforth White'
Lorna's sister, Rose, helps us with the chalkboard shot (a sticker from Not On The High Street)
The shell wreath was a wedding present from me from Not On The High Street.
Their beautiful dog, Bea.
Kitchen table is from Ikea
Console table, from Dwell

"Both chairs came from a vintage furniture store near our house in Limoges, France and they were super cheap! The all wooden one needed re-caning and eventally we found someone near my mum who could do this, so in total this chair cost about £130 instead of about £250 if we'd bought it here.  The other chair was a birthday present from my mum and we went on an upholstery course where we learnt to strip them right back and put them back together - although I'm obviously not finished quite yet! The fabric on this one comes from an etsy shop in South Africa called Skinny La Minx".

"This is Elmo and the chair is from Laura Ashley. The blanket is eco recycled wool from Not on the High Street (a wedding gift
from my friend Amy)".

I love this 30th birthday present from Lorna to Ed, by Kate Jenkins from here
Quentin Blake wallpaper from Osborne & Little

Vintage Gilbert & Sullivan scores from a family friend

"The carpet came from a shop across the road (Blackheath Flooring, Lee
Road), it's called Crucial Trading Missipippi Plum/Green"

"Someone down our road had left an old wardrobe out for the bin men, so we knocked and asked if we could have it and they said yes! Ed and I carried it home and then I spent a day renovating it using a DIY wardrobe renovation on Design Sponge!"
