Frugal wedding dresses: Minna

This week, I have taken my wedding dress home. It feels real, now (2 days kind of real!). I am so happy with it and the staff at Browns Bride at Marylebone were helpful and kind.

With this in mind, I thought I'd share a Bridal designer, whose designs are stunning (very much my wedding style: relaxed and a bit hippy), reasonably priced and ethically sourced. Some of you may remember my 'Fru-Gal' challenge for Livia Firth's website Eco-Age last year, where I wore Minna. The brand is also from Finland, a place very dear to my heart.

Mariella dress, £500, Minna (add the belt for £50)

From the back
'Lila' dress, £475, Minna - perfect for a registry office wedding
'Lisbeth' dress, £470, Minna
Minna also offers a bepoke service at her London HQ: 90, Brixton Road, London, SW9 6BE. 020 7587 0887 or contact minna@minna.co.uk.

Even online, almost everything is customisable. Choose with or without a belt, embellished shoulders, add a veil etc.

Just a small selection of the lace Minna uses
'Delphine' head dress, £65, Minna. Add a veil from £30 extra.
Hair inspiration

This bohemian style of wedding dress is becoming more and more popular. This look is perfect for braids and plaits:

  3. I've just got married in a fabulous recycled lace wrap from Minna . They also made exquisite vintage Flowers for my hair, with 'matching' ones for my 4 flower girls's dresses - my 2 daughters & friends daughters. They were lovely in their Brixton attic/ shop & it was incredible value for bespoke wedding bits.
Do let us know what you do with your wedding photos - I'm trying to work this out.
