LFW: Day 1

Here it is once more...we're viewing SS14 clothes in this abysmal weather! It feels strange even thinking about dressing A/W for the shows after our glorious summer, let alone contemplate next S/S fashion. Nevertheless, I raided my wardrobe and found some bits as I haven't been shopping much these past few weeks. Luckily this season you can get away with a few key buys.

Head to toe High Street - Jumper: Cos. Bag: Zara. Skirt: Topshop. Shoes: Office
Friday is quite a low-key day for Fashion Week, so you don't want to bring out your heels just yet and ruin your feet for the rest of the week! And thank goodness, this season is all about a CHUNKY FLAT (a key investment and they make a mini skirt feel modern).
Shoes, £65, Office
I'm really into quilted skirts at the moment, I wish I'd bought the JW Anderson Topshop version but missed the window. This quilted mini from Topshop was an impulse buy but lasted well.

The day was a wet one but the shows cheered us up - it was a great day for British fashion. My favourite was Ostwald Helgason - currently stocked at My-Wardrobe, they are definitely a design duo to watch.

I LOVED the accessories, which I found out are actually part of the ALDO RISE might actually be affordable. I can't wait for them to drop into store!

The rest of the day kind of went like this:

Riviera chic at Daks
Finale at J.JS Lee (nice show)
Cute neon pencils at J.JS Lee

Cool shapes at Eudon Choi
Stylist Hannah Hughes's fab Sophie Hulme folio clutch

  1. Hi there! A perfect outfit for this weather, I love those chunky flats. Have a great time these next few days!

    1. Thanks so much. Chunky flats are great - also quite a workout for the calves lifting them up!!

  2. I love the way you present an overview of the shows. Wish i could go but your blog is the next best thing. You look great as ever. Thanks. @witchend

  3. I really wish I could do chunky flats but my feet look like boats. Big feet. Boooo
