Last weekend, I was in Paris for a shoot with Red Magazine. I love the Eurostar, such an easy way to travel straight to the centre of Paris. It was only for one night so I kept packing simple and stuck with the basics, when travelling my outfits are very paired back and simple - usually navy blue and a statement bag. I generally always wear cashmere for travelling (and by that I mean the same cashmere jumper from Cos which still looks amazing with no bobbles 3 years on - a great £75 investment), and a cross-body bag is essential for me to keep my hands free to deal with our work luggage/tickets etc.
This bag from Marks and Spencer has plenty of useful pockets, a good quality zip (which I think is essential), adjustable strap and the ponyskin leopard print looks very chic.

Look no further for good quality cashmere, too - 100% cashmere for £65. I wear mine around the house at the moment, still reluctant to turn the heating on! They come in an array of colours (including my favourite: navy):
