Postcards from Paris

Jumper: £79.50, J Crew. Skirt, £35.99, Zara. Sandals: Carven
Zara is on fire this season, I can't walk in without wanting everything! I love the minimal preppy vibe at the moment (so my style):

I just purchased this jumper to get me through next season. I love the idea of pairing it with a feminine skirt (maybe lace) and masculine shoes or boots:

  1. So envious of Paris! Am off to a small welsh town renown for unemployment and depression but dressing to keep my chin up - inspired by your blog. Hx

  2. Love the skirt. It looks more "mini" on the Zara site; on you, it looks as though it hits just above the knee. Is that an optical illusion, or is it a real, short mini-skirt? Thanks!

    1. I think it might supposed to be more high-waisted but I bought it a tad too big so it sits lower on my hips (which I like)...so it's not an optical illusion - it is longer on me!

  3. I love this look on you. The skirt is on the right side of flirty fun. And I really need to invest in one of those Tippi sweaters ... soon!

I'd love to replicate the middle Zara look but that skirt is actually really hard to work in real life.

    1. Oh yes -very hard to work, especially with flats as shown! I always look a bit matronly if my skirt is too long...The Tippi sweater is the best jumper I own, it never bobbles and keeps its shape perfectly.

  4. Got to ask, how did you like the snails Alex? I've only had them once but wasn't sure if its a bit of an acquired taste? Ann x

    1. Ann - I have to confess....the snails weren't mine but a colleagues! I am (quite) adventurous with trying foods - but maybe not snails! But they did smell delicious with all the garlic..
