This Month I'm...

1...booking up early for Matthew Bourne's 'The Car Man': the reinvention of Bizet's 'Carmen' at Wimbledon next April! I know it's early but it's my birthday weekend and I know they will sell out, and I thoroughly enjoyed Bourne's 'Sleeping Beauty' last year.

2...seeing my first issue of Red Magazine shopping pages, edited my me! I had huuuuge shoes to fill (and it's only temporary), but I have loved being back and especially enjoyed picking the 50 best things on the High Street - now THAT'S something I know about...

3...missing London Fashion Week! For the first time in 8 years, I will not be doing even one show. For those that tune in for the photos - I can only apologise. I will, however, be filming a wedding, and then taking a much delayed summer holiday.

4...trying the new Pizza Pilgrims which has just opened by my office in Kingly Court. Well, it'd be rude not to...

5...practising what I preach. I recommended this Jigsaw leather jacket in this month's Red, and when I tried it on in the office I just had to have it. Can you believe I have never owned a leather biker jacket? Neither can I. It's a total investment piece and at £295 (and the softest leather I've ever touched), I think it's also really good value.

6. and 7...researching a new holiday. We haven't even had our summer holiday yet but I feel we need another. We'd love to do another big trip similar to Japan and we're thinking India. Friends have recommended Rajasthan and Kerala - but any other recommendations welcome!

8...taking a break! We're tagging along a holiday in our usual place Nerja, Spain after filming a wedding in Menorca. We can't wait - it'll still be business as usual on the blog though, but I just may not be as responsive on social media (well okay, I may be on instagram).

  1. I'm guessing number 2 is in the October issue? I'll go and grab a copy today.

  2. I really enjoyed the shopping picks in Red and was really pleased to see a snakeskin clutch on there as I've just picked up a vintage one which I am delighted with. I might not be able to resist a furry pom pom key ring either - these little things just get me!

    1. It is fun to get dressed up, but also a little bit exhausting! You can see WITblog's outfits instead (which I'll be waiting for, too!) x

  4. Oh I'm so jealous you'll be in Nerja and I'll be here getting cold. It's been 3 months since I've been there!

  5. Ooh if you're going to India, I would recommend Jaisalmer in Rajasthan - do stay at the Suryagarh Hotel. Also, it depends on what time of the year you plan to go but Goa and Leh are 100% worth a visit! x

  8. Goa is a must visit in my opinion. Spent two weeks there two years ago and would go back in a heartbeat. Happy to provide recommendations if required!
