I've loved Hay design ever since Gwyneth mentioned it a few years ago on Goop - the geometric trays that look great on their own but twice as good all nestled into each other with their co-ordinating colours...they can make even the most cluttered side table complete.

So for me, on my budget - the accessibility point is the trays. Starting from £10, you can buy in stages (and they're a great gift, especially for those collecting them). These ones with their pop of colour are going to give our living room that little 'lift' of colour it needs.

One day, my house will be filled with Hay furniture - minty wool sofas with soft grey cushions and pink highlights. But until then, I'll be filling up these Hay trays with a smug sense of arrangement.
