And boy has it taken a bit of getting used to. The 15 degree mild December I left behind certainly wasn't here when I got back...and I have to admit to not wanting to venture outside too much once I'd got back to my soft sheets and steaming hot shower.
And so we come to hibernation time. I got these Ugg boots for Christmas and have decided to replace my usual Ugg slippers with these for inside only - there's something rather indulgent about it (and let's face it, in my rickety old Victorian flat I need something to keep my ankles snug).

I saw this jumper on Stylonylon's instagram whilst away, so on my first evening back in London dragged my sister to Topshop to buy it - and I'm not sure I'll take it off - it's super soft and not itchy at all. It's not the cheapest knit on the block but I know something I'll love for years.
January is definitely a tough month to get through - even arriving home in the middle of it, I still feel like we have an eternity left. But for me, staying in (saving money) with soft cashmere, sheepskin and my favourite candles on is a small victory - plus, the best TV is always on in Jan (anyone watching War & Peace? Excited to catch up).
