The boho blouse

Far from being a ‘boho’ girl by any means, I’ve fallen hard for the peasant blouse. This is about the fifth one in my wardrobe at present, but they all seem to be in constant rotation.

This version, surprisingly from Gap, is a tougher fabric so keeps you a bit warmer than most, so perfect for those tricky weather days we’re having right now…and I’ve recently purchased this black denim skirt, as an alternative to my blue denim one from last year which is proving very useful.

You’ll probably know from Instagram that I am now (hopefully relaxing!) in Ibiza on my summer holiday, so boho blouses have been high on my packing list – effortless with denim shorts but I also love them with a skirt on those warm, balmy holiday evenings. I love the colour combination on this version – not too girly (although I have packed a pink one from Wonder & Weaver, too!).

Although I’m hoping for a ‘real’ tan soon, for the time being I’m relying on the fake variety. My go to brands are James Read (I love the Sleep Mask) and Decleor but I’ve been trying a few make-up tricks too. Clinique’s ‘sunkissed’ face gelee is great for when you need a little hit of bronze, and Smashbox do a fab Primer which illuminates the skin to give the ‘golden hour glow’ – dreamy.

Here’s looking forward to a holiday filled with boho blouses, too many cocktails, woven baskets and zero emails. Follow along with my outfits over on Instagram here.
